Emerson J. Dillon Eighth Grader Caitlin George won first place at the Junior Level 2016 Oswego County Student Art Show & Competition at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center in Pulaski.
The studio artist from Ashley Modafferi’s EJD art class pencil drew a black and grey watercolor palette called “The Shady Water.” For her efforts, George received a certificate of recognition and a $100 prize.
Student work will be displayed at the arts center through April 29. George’s work may be viewed alongside the following EJD honorable mention artists from Modafferi’s and Beth Pritchard’s EJD art classes: Vanessa Rivera, Katey Kenner Carbonaro, Teresa Uhl, Tamika Stobart and Morgan Kosakowski. The students competed against middle school students from throughout Oswego County who submitted the following art mediums: paintings, drawings, photographt, sculpture, computer-generated art, printmaking and mixed media.
